Fuzzy Filters are designed for the application of mass solids removal prior to discharge water to the receiving stream. The design requirements are one of the solids loading versus hydraulic loading for tertiary filtration applications. Design flow rates are typically 10-20 gpm/sq ft and solids loading at 1.5 #/cu ft of media. Compression is 0-20 percent.
